I graduated from Iowa State University in 2019 from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences with a BS in Biology and a minor in Genetics. Currently, I am studying as a PhD student in the department of Biomedical Sciences at Iowa State under Drs. Allenspach, Kimber, and Mochel. My research focuses on the immunomodulatory effects of parasitic extracellular vesicles using intestinal organoids as a research model. Future work will look at the use of extracellular vesicles as biomarkers for the diagnosis of cancer. I enjoy reading, playing with my yellow lab, and playing tennis.
